Our Lady of the Mystical Rose in Glasgow opened its doors in March 2025. The community was founded by the Rev’d Mtr Alyson Dunlop Shanes, a priest within OCAC.

Our Lady of the Mystical Rose forms part of OCAC (Scotland) and currently gathers in the Glasgow Theosophical Society on Queens Crescent, Glasgow — perhaps a fittingly named street for a church devoted to Our Lady.

Alongside celebrating a monthly Mass, members of Our Lady of the Mystical Rose share in meditation, the rosary, healing ministry, and prophetic prayer.

Since its foundation, Marie Adens and Angela Pirie have been devoted participants in the community's life. Having already been appointed Acolytes and Readers by Rev’d Mtr Alyson, they are now preparing to take the next step in their ministry as Doorkeepers. Angela has dispensation to wear the clerical collar in minor orders.

This service of appointment will be presided over by the Bishop of Scotland, Michael Templeton, on Tuesday of Holy Week, 31st March 2026, during the Chrism Mass.
