Ken lives in South Gloucestershire. He is a retired space systems and propulsion engineer. He serves part time as the Estates officer for a local council and is a Methodist Local Preacher in the Bristol and South Gloucester circuit.

Serving as a chaplain to the local Boys Brigade and two local care and residential homes, Ken also serves as a Major Emergency chaplain to Avon and Somerset Police for the Greater Bristol Area. Ken has been a Christian preacher for some time and after being accepted into OCAC as Reader in early 2023, has been ordained Deacon by Bishop Adrian in Exeter at OCAC's Auxiliary Synod early in 2024. He was raised to the priesthood at OCAC's 2025 Auxilary Synod in Swindon on October 4th 2025.
