Revd Elaine Glover

Bishop Elaine oversees the Cross Denominational Mission, a religious society of the Old Catholic Apostolic Church.
Her earlier ministry was in Leicester and after that in Southampton and southern Hampshire. She had ministry overseas in Kenya and Iraq helping Canon Andrew White's peace and reconciliation ministry amongst others until returning to the UK in 2015. She maintains an active connection, and gives oversight to, the churches there today.
Elaine serves today as a Christian Broadcaster presenting Christian radio programs and also on secular commercial radio. Elaine regularly preaches on the street and is an author of several books. She has authored 'God's Lent Child', 'From Baghdad to Suna Migori', 'Don't Take care; Take Risks' and 'The Mystery of Operation Alphabet' all non-fiction titles.
Bishop Elaine has a strong interest in Christian - Hebrew relations. Her most recent book, called 'Butterflies do live here' is based on the poem by Pavel Friedman called 'Butterfly' which recalled there were no butterflies in the ghetto. She organised a number of events where descendants of wartime Jewish refugees visited and spoke about people and events like the 'Kindertransport'. She has been active in local Holocaust memorials and societies which remember those like Trevor Chadwick whose statue in Swanage Elaine helped to organise.
A relative of the Kindertransport scheme came to Swanage from Chile and spoke about his father Peter a Trevor Chadwick Kindertransport child and it was so amazing to see him and his adult children standing next to the Statue of Trevor Chadwick.
