Lance was admitted to the minor orders by Msgr David Parry, OCAC Scotland and was ordained to Doorkeeper at Mount Stuart House on 21st December 2025.

Mr. Lance L. McLellan-Hatton is a published writer, historical researcher, perennialist, and Liberal Catholic. Msgr. Parry has guided him through the oath of allegiance, the appointment to the minor orders of clerics and through the ordination of doorkeepers on the Isle of Bute by Monsignor David William Parry and aims to study Old Catholicism with a view to formation as an OCAC priest.

Lance describes his path as un-orthodox as he has Spiritualist and pagan influences. His father was a Church of Scotland and his mother catholic. His formation as Christian clergy will bring together these influences for the church.
